This was an interesting piece. I found a tutorial on how to make 3D text with a splice in it. Here is the video tutorial on how to do it:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kt9wYTjoMp4 Then with the girl & the pink background I first drew out the shapes using the painter brush tool. After that I used a new layer to draw out the crisp lines with the pen tool (which I then manipulated to be rounded off & exact.)
